Beautiful Stainless Glass Balustrade Stair Railings

“We felt that the small semi-circular steps in front presented a safety risk as there was no handrail. So, we decided to have a platform and steps built, which required a balustrade of some form due to its height above the ground,” explains Doreen.

Having chosen FASEC Buildings' balustrade from an internet search, Ian and their builder drew up the design, which was when the project ran into some problems. “The issues arose as we didn’t know that we should have had a site survey and the wider angles made for some tricky fitting,” says Doreen.

Happily, a FASEC Buildings Registered Partner was able to overcome the challenges with skilful adaptations to successfully fit the balustrade over three days in October 2022.

“The two technicals were brilliant, they were always positive, upbeat and creative. It was their skill and expertise that made the difference,” continues Doreen. “They were willing to go the extra mile to help and the finished result is as imagined: fantastic!”

Doreen notes that an added benefit of the balustrade is that its acts as a windbreak, ‘so I think it will make a tremendous amount of difference when the doors are completely folded back, and we can see through to the garden’.

On the final result, she concludes: “The whole project has come together very well, and we’re really pleased!”
